While waiting for paint remover for my Organ project I found some old bricks in the basement. These bricks are being used to hold up furniture, so that when the basement floods the furniture is kept dry. I saw them and knew I had to paint them. They called to me!
Someday I will have a large two story library - as my sister-in law described, similar to Henry Higgins library in Audy Hepburn's "My Fair Lady". Thus I feel that starting to make a collection of fun bookends is a very productive investment toward my future library.
I was inspired to try to do silhouettes, sort of ipod advertisement style- minus the ipod :) I wanted the brick to show through the silhouette.
